Boy Born Without Ear Gets Implant
Juan Ramirez is like any other 9-year-old boy; he likes playing video games and soccer with his brothers. But unlike other little boys, Juan is missing his right ear. He was born with Microtia, a congenital deformity that is so severe, he has no ear canal and no outer ear. Hospital officials referred the family to Dr. Raghu Athré, who utilized the latest in ear reconstruction surgery to help Juan.
