This patient came in for consultation because of aging in the region around her eyes. She had seen several plastic surgeons in Houston, TX, and was told that she needed a lower blepharoplasty. After her consultation, Dr. Athre decided to do the OcuRX treatment. The patient was too young to undergo a blepharoplasty, and really had no excess skin. Removing skin or fat would have made the patient look too gaunt and would actually age her more. Restylane was injected into the tear trough. The entire procedure took 30 minutes. Here, she is shown 2 weeks after her under-eye Restylane treatment. This procedure will last anywhere from 9-11 months in this area.
