S is a lovely 21 year old who was just not happy with her nose.  She had always dreamed of having a nose that just matched the proportions of her face.  She had very realistic expectations, and had done an extensive amount of research with respect to finding the perfect surgeon.  S interviewed multiple plastic surgeons in the Houston area before coming to Athre Surgical Asssociates.  After her initial interview, she had two subsequent consultations where ever possible permutation and nuance of her nose was computer-imaged.  Dr. Athre and the patient came up with a nasal profile that simply framed her face beautifully and just brought her eyes out.  Incidentally, the patient had a deviated septum which was also corrected at the time of surgery.  The patient underwent an open rhinoplasty.  Following surgery, she returned for splint removal at the one week point after surgery.  The patient did state that her first week after surgery was a bit tough because she had to breathe only through her mouth.  In the pictures below, she is shown two weeks after surgery.  She is still swollen since nasal surgery takes months for the swelling to completely resolve.  However, a small glimpse of her final result can be seen, and S is THRILLED!
