Traditional Liposuction
Liposuction permanently removes unwanted fat from areas of the body such as the hips, abdomen, legs, buttock, and arms. Dr. Athré performs this procedure using the tumescent technique – which involves injecting the treatment areas with a sterile solution to liquefy fat cells prior to removing them using a thin cannula (suctioning device). Dr. Athré typically performs this procedure under local anesthesia for enhanced comfort.
VASER Lipo®
Dr. Athré also offers VASER Lipo® near Houston – a liposuction technique that uses ultrasound technology to selectively remove fat deposits without causing damage to the surrounding tissues.
